New Year - new everything!

As 2011 begins, I've decided to shake things up with my photographic work and business. There are (hopefully) some new photographic business ventures starting later this year, however to start things off, I've made some changes...

• First, this blog. I'm pretty much a tech geek, but had never really tried blogging. I hope that these ramblings will keep you (and me) engaged.
• A new business name. I'm moving away from Natural Spaces Photography. I've used that name for several years (since I started in 2002, actually) and it's been a good one. For various reasons, I've decided to go to Dave Miess Photography. Like the usual slips in writing the old year on a check, I'm sure I'll make the occasional lapse and refer to the old name - but hopefully over time it will click.
• A new web site. I've wanted to move into a more dynamic web site for a while and finally found the tools to do it. The new web site is http://www.davemiess.com/ - take a look and see what you think. It's a work in progress, but it will allow me to sell online as well as add images from the field. And at the same time, it's a heckuva lot easier to maintain!

The Lightbox (my email newsletter) will continue. And I hope the photo gods will remain kind so I can bring you more images.
